The G&G L85 A1 ETU is a modernised electric airsoft replica of the original British SA80 service rifle. Featuring the classic integrated carry handle and iron sights, the rifle preserves the iconic L85A1 profile while incorporating modern electronics including an ETU and MOSFET. With electric blowback operation and a long inner barrel housed in a compact bullpup design, it delivers both realism and dependable field performance.

The L85 A1 ETU is G&G’s electric airsoft interpretation of the original SA80 L85A1 service rifle, preserving the distinctive appearance and control layout of the early British bullpup platform while integrating modern internal electronics.

The rifle features polymer and metal construction, providing durability and realistic weight while maintaining the iconic profile of the L85A1. The platform retains the integrated carry handle and iron sight system, accurately reflecting the original service rifle configuration.

The bullpup layout positions the action behind the trigger group, allowing the rifle to house a 510 mm inner barrel within a compact overall length. This configuration provides excellent shot stability and accuracy while keeping the rifle manoeuvrable compared to traditional rifle-length platforms.

Internally, the rifle is built around G&G’s G2 Ver. L85 gearbox, a system engineered specifically for the L85 platform. The gearbox is powered by the Original Long Axis motor rated at 25,000 rpm, providing strong and consistent cycling performance.

The rifle also incorporates Electronic Trigger Unit (ETU) and MOSFET electronics, improving trigger response while protecting internal electrical components and enabling reliable operation with modern battery systems.

An electric blowback system adds movement to the bolt carrier during firing, enhancing the realism of the platform while maintaining dependable AEG operation.

Externally, the rifle maintains the classic L85 fore-end and carry handle configuration, preserving the authentic appearance of the SA80 family.

With an overall length of 785 mm and a weight of 3780 g, the rifle provides a stable and realistic handling experience. The platform is supplied with a 450-round hi-cap magazine, and remains compatible with standard M4 / AR-style AEG magazines.
