M4A1 AIRSOFT GUN KEY FEATURES
This outstanding Bulldog AEG has the latest features that make this one of the best airsoft guns for the money. HOP-UP
Hop-up devices apply backspin to the projectile reducing the air pressure on its top side. This causes the plastic pellet to fall less over a given distance than it would without the spin applied, extending the effective range of the weapon without increasing velocity. The HOP-UP on this airsoft gun is located behind the dust cover as normal but is not on a spring, so you will need to pull the dust cover down by hand to adjust the hop-up.

FAQs
Does this electric airsoft gun come with a battery and charger?
No, most electric airsoft guns or AEGs do NOT include a battery or a charger unless specified in the description or there is an option to add a battery. If this is not stated anywhere, you will need to add a battery and a charger to your order.
What type of battery does this airsoft gun take?
There are two types of batteries for airsoft guns: NiMH and LI-PO. Modern airsoft guns will typically take LI-PO as this is the better choice for performance. However, NiMH is safer and is an excellent low-cost alternative. See our Battery Disclaimer link in the footer of our website.
What BBs will work best in this airsoft gun?
BB pellets are, simply put, the ammo your airsoft rifle will use. Choosing the right BBs can be just as important as selecting the right gun. This is because BB weight matters - this is simply how heavy the BB is. 0.20g is the most common weight of BBs and a good starting option.
Do I have to buy a blue airsoft gun?
If you are asking this question, the answer is yes: you must buy a blue gun. If you are a newcomer to airsoft and have not attended an airsoft club or site, you will not currently be registered with UKARA. If you are over 18, you can purchase an Airsoft Two-Tone gun. These are blue, or otherwise brightly coloured, guns that are UK legal and comply with the VCR Act of 2007.
How can I buy a black airsoft gun?
You must supply a defence at checkout to buy a RIF (Real Imitation Firearm) - a Black / Tan / Gold / Silver with no blue bits. Make sure one of the following is true: the delivery address is not in the UK, you have a current UKARA membership, you have a current UKAPA membership, you are a member of a properly insured historical re-enactment group or society, you are a film, television or theatre production company, you are (or are acting on behalf of) a museum, you are a Crown Servant in pursuance of your Crown duties.
What is FPS?
FPS means ‘feet per second’ - a measure of velocity or distance travelled in a given second. So, in theory, the higher the FPS, the further the BB pellet will travel. However, you will also need to consider BB pellet weight and, importantly, if you are using a Hop-Up unit.
What is a Hop-Up?
A Hop-Up makes it so that when a BB is fired from the airsoft gun, a small and grippy rubber pad rubs against the top of the BB. This has the effect of adding a backspin to the round projectile. Adding a backspin to any ball whilst flying through the air adds lift and increases its range. Most high-end electric (AEG) airsoft guns have an adjustable hop-up so that you can set the gun for your optimal shooting distance.
How Long Should I Charge My Battery?
Standard Airsoft Batteries take an initial charge of about 4 hours but no longer. Subsequent charges should last no longer than 2-3 hours. Remember: never overcharge your battery! If in doubt, purchase a good quality charger with a cut-off feature, so no matter how long you charge, it will not damage your battery or have a fire risk. Always use a Safe Battery Charger Bag when charging a LI-PO battery, and never leave it unattended!
What is the difference between standard airsoft batteries and Lipo?
NiMH batteries are like your standard rechargeable AA batteries: common, very safe, resistant to cold weather, and capable of holding a charge well. These can last for one to two years even when charged often.
Lipo batteries hold way more charge and last longer than NiMH batteries; LI-PO batteries are the most advanced battery on the market. This current generation of batteries is used practically everywhere, including your mobile phone or tablet. They come in two voltages, 7.2v or 11.2v, perfect for an upgraded AEG with a high fire rate.
If overcharged, they can explode and cause chemical burns, fires, or even death in some cases. So only charge with a LI-PO compatible charger with a full charge cut off, and never charge unattended.
Unlike the NiMH battery type, there are no methods for an optimal and healthy life with LiPo batteries. Just make sure never to let it fully discharge. So, as soon as your AEG starts to slow down and the gears turn slower with each shot, get it on charge.
