This Bulldog ST Alpha QD Airsoft Gun AEG has many upgrades supplied and installed, making it a high-end competition-grade airsoft gun. The main difference between the ST Alpha Sportline and this QD version is the Gen4 Gearbox, which offers the QC (Quick-Change) spring system, and the new SRC Mos-Fit installed inside the gearbox to give more battery room inside the gun. Other upgrades included a Full Steel Gear Set, 8mm Full CNC Bushings, Full Steel Teeth Piston, Aluminium Cylinder Head, High Torque Motor, 20 Position Fine tuning and a new Cylinder System. The ST Alpha is designed on an unbeatable M4 platform but offers a look that will turn heads. Still classed as a Sportline Airsoft Rifle, this Alpha is a force to be reckoned with. WHAT IS A HOP-UP
A hop-up device applies a backspin to the projectile reducing the air pressure on its top side. This causes the plastic BB pellet to fall less over a given distance than it would without the spin applied, extending the effective range of the weapon without increasing velocity. This improves your accuracy and increases your shooting enjoyment both down range to a target or in an airsoft battle.
HOP-UP ADJUSTMENT
- Pull the charging handle to the rear, exposing the hop-up dial.
- To reduce the hop-up, rotate the hop-up dial towards the normal setting.
- To increase the hop-up, rotate the hop-up dial towards the hop setting.
- This gun has a rotary hop-up with 20 positions for fine-tuning.
QUICK CHANGE SYSTEM
- The SRC QC system enables spring access without taking the gun apart.
- Remove the pin from the stock lever, then pull the lever down and slide off.
- Remove the fixing screw inside the stock tube.
- Remove the end plate to expose the QC spring guide.
- Remove the QC spring guide with a large screwdriver or a coin.
The QC system requires no specialist tools and enables you to change the spring without opening the gun's receiver or gearbox and can be done in just a few minutes.
