The DELTA Vanguard Pathfinder combines traditional M4 styling with modern electronic performance control, creating a rifle that looks classic but performs at the next level.

At the heart of the Pathfinder is the Vortex programmable ETU system. This advanced electronic trigger unit transforms the fire selector into a configurable control interface, allowing players to choose between semi-only, 2-round burst, 3-round burst, 4-round burst, 5-round burst, binary trigger mode and full auto. This adaptability makes the Pathfinder suitable for varying site rules, play styles and engagement environments.

Built on the reinforced DELTA Version 2 gearbox platform, the Pathfinder maintains mechanical durability while enhancing trigger response and electrical efficiency through Deans wiring. The 18:1 steel gear set supported by 8mm ball bearings ensures smooth cycling, while the Vortex ETU provides crisp, consistent trigger break and reset.

Accuracy is supported by the rotary hop unit paired with a 50° hop rubber and precision 6.03 mm inner barrel. This setup promotes stable BB flight and reliable grouping, whether engaging in close-range exchanges or stretching into mid-field distances.

The nylon fiber polymer construction across the upper receiver, lower receiver and handguard reduces weight while maintaining structural strength. The classic carbine handguard and fixed front sight base give the Pathfinder a familiar M4 silhouette, while the modern skeletonised stock reduces rear weight and improves balance.

The M90 quick-change spring system ensures adaptable power tuning without full gearbox disassembly, adding flexibility for different site requirements.

HOP-UP

Hop-Up devices apply backspin to the projectile, reducing the air pressure on its top side. This causes the plastic pellet to fall less over a given distance than it would without the spin applied, extending the effective range of the weapon without increasing velocity. The Hop-Up on this airsoft gun is located behind the dust cover as normal and is a good quality Rotary Hop Unit, 50° Hop Rubber.

OUR COMMENTS

This is an outstanding airsoft gun, and you get a lot for your money. There are several things to point out, but nothing should stop you from purchasing this rifle. Like many entry-level guns on the market today, the magazine well is large, and the magazine does move around and can rattle a bit when moving the gun. However, the magazine will never fall out and is very secure. Compatible Magazines – M4/AR-15 AEG Magazines. The pop-up sights are a nice addition. However, you can not just push them back down – you first need to press and hold the sight release button before folding the sights flat. This is the same on many polymer pop-up sights. Battery recommendations can be confusing; Nuprol recommends 9.6v NiHm batteries, and many airsofters recommend 8.4 NiHm. We have used both and see no noticeable difference in performance. We have also tried 7.4 LiPo and seen the same outstanding performance. So the choice is yours. Our last point is regarding the magazine – It is a 120-round mid-cap, which is excellent. However, this gun does not have a speed loader. We strongly recommend you buy a BB speed loader; life is too short to fill your mah with 120 BBs by hand. Have fun and stay safe when playing airsoft.
