LOW PROFILE SCOPE MOUNTS
This low profile scope mounts are more comfortable for most shooters. The majority of rifles will have a low fixed cheek rest. When you mount a scope, you should be able to get a good cheek rest on the rifle and be able to look through your optic. If the scope is mounted too high you will not be able to properly see through the scope when using a cheek rest and this requires you to lift your head off the cheek rest and attempt to use the scope. This is not very comfortable, and a can degrade accuracy.
Please be aware that some large scopes may not fit low profile mounts as they will hit the top of the gun. If this happens you will need either mid or high scope mounts. Also if you have a loading system or a small junior rifle the fixed sights may also be in the way of you fitting low mounts. Rifle mounts are inexpensive and we recommend you try a number of different heights to fid the right one for you and your setup.
