This is the M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine CO2 Blowback Airsoft Rifle with Real Wood from King Arms. Constructed from natural wood and full alloy just like the real thing, this CO2-powered M1A1 Carbine is one of the most realistic WW2-era airsoft replicas available. The M1A1 is lightweight (compared to other WW2 weapons), simple to use and both looks and feels incredibly realistic. Powered by CO2 and using realistic 15-round capacity magazines, the M1A1 provides Airsofters with an authentic shooting experience on the Skirmish field. The skeleton stock folds away to the side, almost reducing the weapon’s length by half, and features a rolled alloy cheek rest to reduce discomfort.

First appearing on the battlefield in late 1942, the M1A1 Carbine was the second member of the M1 Carbine family of .30 calibre semi-automatic rifles, the A1 featuring a new side folding stock. Falling somewhere between the full calibre M1 Garand rifle, and the .45ACP pistol calibre Thompson SMG, the M1 Carbine was designed as a lightweight defensive weapon for troops in roles where carrying a full-sized rifle was impractical, such as radiomen, paratroopers and tank crews. King Arms have accurately recreated the M1A1, and now finally, Airsofters will be able to appreciate why the M1A1 was such as popular weapon with Allied forces in WW2 and saw service with many nations’ armed and police forces well into the 1990s.

HISTORY OF THIS GUN

In 1941, with the US being pulled into one of the greatest conflicts in world history, a division of General Motors was tasked to support the war effort. The result was firearm history, with Inland Manufacturing becoming one of the largest gun manufacturers in the US, producing nearly 3 million firearms in less than five years. The most notable of Inland’s firearm production was the .30 Caliber M1 carbine and the folding stock variant, the M1A1 Paratrooper model. Dayton, Ohio, was home to the original Inland company and is now the home of the new Inland Manufacturing, located just two miles from the original facility. Today’s Inland Manufacturing is now producing a new line of .30 calibre M1 carbines and 1911 style pistols.
