ha lol its not that hard to strip down or reload but it is hard when ur using the real ones and when other cadets are running and firing blanks at u lol and this is awsome pratice at home doing my NSP'S lol :)

The SA80/L98 isn't a gun it's a rifle... look down the barrel.
To strip:
push through holding rods, remove trigger housing mechanism, grab spring, remove cocking handle, open gas parts compartment, remove gas block... etc...
Amazing rifle and currently the British service rifle. Recomended

To answer some queries;
yes the scope can be removed and handle attached instead.
No there is not a rail to attach a torch underneath at the front.
Mine came with an iron site but don't rely on all of them coming with one if it doesn't say so!
A replacement mag is available for £9.99 from here on Just BB gnus.
Stock does not slide out.
Cocking handle has metal piece covered with black plastic ..feels solid enough and is not difficult to pull back.
Can't tell you anything more about accuracy etc as this arrived today an dmy son is yet to test it :)

My friend has been mithering me to join the cadets, but I don't want the pressure, so I bought this. Its beautiful, an amazing bit of kit, i've dropped it in sand, dirt, Grass (Even though the grass didn't do much, it stained the barrel.) and it still works. Plus, I like to make my guns look dirty, it makes it look like it has been in a war.

.12 gram bbs will make the FPS, range and distance higher than .20
.20 will make it more accurate and less prone to wind

im guessing you can strip this as bb's are normally held together with screws. but can you do nsp's and stoppage drills. also is there anyway you could possibly attach gas parts to turn it into a blow back rifle. or fit a battery to make it semi auto or full auto?

used the real version of this gun for the past 4 years. the L98A1 and the l98A2, which is a semi automatic rifle and can be changed into an automatic rifle. Both of them are really good. Also used a LSW, which is a TANKK! probably the best LMG

-you have to force cocking handle forward which does get very irritating because if you forget to forward assist it doesnt do the weapon any favours

there is a hop up on this bb gun it is under the cheek guard and is very easy to adjust and precise u can also take off the cheek guard and swap it for both left and right hand shooters i am going to get this gun 10 out of 10

Heres, some general info, the scope isnt magnified, well, I dont think so anyway, its cocking action is quite smooth, its really powerful, it doesnt come with a handle or sling, its accuracy is on/off, somedatimes youll get a perfect shot, then the next it will curve way off. But I still think its a decent enough gun. 3/5

the sight is just plain glass and has a pin and no there is no where on this gun to put a flash light unless you take off the sight, but its still and awesome gun very heavy and proberly better for leaftys like me :)

hey just bought one of these, unfortunately it only fits 25 rounds in not 40 :/ but the magazine seems easy to maintain as the bottom slides off so if any jame you can sort it out, and would be good if the where the susat is, there was actualy a dove tail rail, but it doesnt :(

yes jake, you can but it will be a littl ebit more difficult as the gun is a springer.. now bare in mind this gun REALLY isnt skirmish material... back garden or house battles deffinately... but dont take it to the skirmish ground... it isnt economical to use on in a proper skirmish...

Dunno Bout the blck parts but the orange selector ent 1 its a hokding open device/catch for holding the bolt back :) still try goin for the SA80 stubby or with rail :D

also a little dissapointed that the body is plastic.. although it does look just like metal it isnt... the only metal parts are the trigger and trigger gaurd, the sling loops, the barrel and the magazine release...

got the gun today and lets say its great... i love it... i was a little dissappointed to find no strap in the box as it states in the description, also i cant seem to find the hop up on this gun (which he talks about in the video) also it does have a very random and unpredictable firing pattern though :S which would be sorted if i could find the freaking hop up... the cocking is actually much easier than i thought it would be and i would really recomend this gun... also a bit annoyed that you cant adjust the left and right on my scope... other than that top gun.... 3/5

Love the SOSUS sight. Its better than an electric one, less likley to break, no batteries and more reallistic. Fantasic gun 5 stars for epic range and power. I cant take it airsofting because of the 350 fps limit on my site. ROFL!

hey people... i just wanted to know were abouts the plastic parts are on the gun, are the black parts metal or plastic? also whats the cocking action like on the gun? does the dust cover flip down when the bolt is racked back? and does the fire selection switch at the back move? thanks people
UK LAW AND REGULATIONS REGARDING AIRSOFT GUNS
Since October 2007 you can only buy a realistic imitation firearm (one that looks like a real gun) if you are at least 18 years old and meet one of the following conditions.
- You are a REGISTERED airsofter with membership of an insured skirmish site. To be registered you must attend a properly organised and insured airsoft site and play for at least three days over a period of not less than two months. Even if you attend and play the three days in your first week, UK Law requires that two months pass from the first day attended before you can legally be registered.
- You have a current UKARA membership.
- You are a member of a property insured historical re-enactment group or society.
- You are a film, television or theatre production company.
- You are (or are acting on behalf of) a museum.
- You are a Crown Servant in pursuance of your Crown duties.
- Gun is being sent to a non-UK Address.
If you cannot meet any of these criteria, you can still buy an imitation firearm, one which PRINCIPLE COLOUR is significantly different from that of a real firearm – i.e. bright orange, green, blue etc.
The VCRA 2006 concerns itself with sale, manufacture and import ONLY. If you buy an imitation firearm and either gift it to someone else, or allow them to use it – regardless of their age – you are not contravening the Act. So, a parent can buy a 2 tone airsoft gun and give it to their child to use or keep.
FPS UPDATE 18/10/2011
UK Airsoft established at 1.3 joules (approx. 374FPS/.2g bb) for full auto and 2.5 joules (approx 519FPS) for single/semi sniper or pistol. Please note: each skirmish site will have different FPS limits on their games. This UPDATE is only to inform you of the maximum legal limits.
CHEAP BB PELLETS SUPPLIED
Most BB and Airsoft Guns are supplied by the manufacturer with a small pack of cheap BBs included in the pack. We do not recommend you use these in your equipment as they can easily jam your weapon.
We strongly recommend using only Genuine BULLDOG BB Pellets in your weapon, which can be found here: Bulldog Pellets. Because of UK legislation, all orange airsoft bb guns will be supplied without laser, and all clear airsoft bb guns will be sent with laser if included in the gun set.
