Either gonna get this or the spring revolver with the stubby barrel with the money I get for Easter, more likely to get this to be fair since I'm an AK fan. Pick up a sling and wrap a tourniquet around the stock for that authentic look :P
Just gt the gun today, it's v good solid build, rate of fire is good and it makes a excellent noise. Point blank range with spring either dents or pierces the can, but that's with .12 need to get .20 gram and I'm sure it will go through. Power is overall good and acuracy is ok, however only triald target practice for a hour without a gusting the iron site. Over all great gun highly recommended especially for £60, I will give a more in depth review after the airsoft war

Got this rifle on Monday took it Airsofting on the tuesday night, brilliant at CQC and with it taking 6 AA batteries its great i carry spare batteries in my webbing

@Airlesscheese. Actually this is an AK74, but it's an AKS-74U; that's it's official designation anyway. It's also false that they 'swapped the letters round' as there's already an AK-47 in the game.

@AirlessCheese No its called the AK-74u because it is the sub-machine gun variant of the AK-74 which was called that because of when it it went into production in 1974. That's why the AK-47 is called the AK-47 because it went into production in 1947.
the 'U' means that it is a different gun, this is Ak47k, A fact A AK47 is indestructable, set fire to it freeze it run it over with my jeep and they are fine a AK47u is diferent

@AIrlessCheese, I think you'll find that the AK-74 is a variant of the Kalashnikov line of rifles in its own right. Without boring you witless, the AK-47 was updated to use a smaller round ammunition in 1974 (hence the name), to be a similar strength as the rounds found in most NATO rifles such as the M16. This is because the AK-47 tended to have a lot of muzzle-climb and recoil on full auto (where the muzzle or tip of the gun rises when firing due to the power of the bullet). It is a pure coincidence that 47 is 74 reversed and has nothing what so ever to do with copyright.
